I'm just starting out on the violin, teaching myself and while my book is great for basic stuff, I think adding a teacher of sorts would definitely help me out. I do know some basics and can keep working my way through the book "Essential Elements for Strings" but would love some imput and lessons from someone who knows what they are doing and maybe steer me in the right direction for what to be focusing on in my practices and what I might be doing wrong.
