List of 2017 & 2018 Holidays

I will provide you with your choice of a PDF or Google Sheet which lists a variety of holidays, observances, and celebrations throughout 2017 and 2018.
The holidays listed are focused on celebrations primarily in the US, and include common religious and federal holidays (ie: Christmas, Purim, Holi, Labor Day, Independence Day), plus silly holidays (ie: Festivus, Pi Day, Bow Tie Day, Doughnut Day), and days of interest for historical, literary, or educational reasons (Helen Keller Day, Frankenstein Day, Library Card Sign-up Month). I include some color coding to make skimming the document easier.
Please note, some observances like Banned Books Week, have not yet announced their 2018 celebration dates. I will add them in as I find out they have been announced.
If you have a celebration you think should be added to the list, please let me know! I'm always looking to expand this document. :)
Training & Qualifications
I am always looking for excuses to reach out and connect with the members of the community at my job at a public library. Since I was compiling a list of celebrations to help me brainstorm possible book displays or activities, it only made sense to offer the use of it to Simbi members if they could make use of it too!
