Grand Canyon Visit Tips

I'm excited to be visiting the Grand Canyon for several days this August with my parents, sibling, and spouse. I know we're probably going to melt in the heat but it was the ONLY time our schedules aligned and I'm excited!!
I would love any tips or recommendations you may have. Things to do, things to NOT do, what to eat, things off the beaten path, anything you're willing to share. I'm putting 5 Simbi in the discription for quick tips, but if you have more info you want to share, please increase the Simbi in your proposal so I can compensate you for your knowledge. 😄
- I'm happy to hike and run around outdoors. My cotravelers will probably take turns with me pinging around outside. I enjoy animals (provided they aren't spiders or scorpions).
- Since I don't know when I'll be back in this part of the country, I want to savor what makes this place unlike any other.
- I greatly enjoy museums too. If there are any unique ones, let me know!
