What do you wish you had known when you first entered the job market?
I am planning a presentation for teenagers on putting together their first resumes, cover letters, tips on interviewing, and filling out applications. There is much I wish I had known when I first started job hunting, half-a-lifetime ago. Besides addressing those foibles, I would love to know what others would tell their past selves.
You can share tips on what someone *should do* or you can share a horror story of what *not* to do, so someone else can avoid it.
