I will teach you the fundamentals of comedy writing and give you some tips and tricks to help you write your first standup comedy set! This service works best if you already have some material ready and want feedback and guidance. If you're not even sure what you want to joke about, we can set up an interview, and I can do some digging and point you in the right direction!
Even if you're not interested in performing at open mics or traditional standup comedy venues, I can help translate material from your life into setups and punchlines. This way you will have original jokes and stories that you can use at parties, events, speeches, or anywhere you want to tell jokes! I believe the true value in comedy writing is adapting the mindset of a comedian.
The more you write and think about comedy, the more you will see it! Everywhere you go!

Training & Qualifications
I have been performing standup comedy off and on for the last 5 years, performing and teaching improvisational comedy for 9 years, and performing and writing music for 15 years. (Songwriting has more in common than joke writing than you would guess). Additionally, I have been a writer my whole life and write for a living.
I currently live in Richmond, and although I haven't performed in awhile, I still love writing jokes and helping others find the funny.
