I will tutor you or you kiddo in ASL over Skype or local to me. 30 min lessons , or talk to me and let me know your goals. I am an Interpreter in Illinois. I love the aha moments. The Deaf world is different and wonderful, if you know how to get around in it. On the other hand the reason I became an interpreter was my mom who is a late deafend adult. Its a world I got thrown into about 3 years ago. My mom is a LDA (Late deafend adult) I can talk about the challenges for her and for us as a family. There are a few resources available(I can tell you where to look). What skills may need to be relearned, the tech available to make adaptations, I will gladly share my experience and opinion of hot button topics in the D/Hh world. (D/Hh- Deaf, hard of hearing) yes I used the small D describing my mom, she is not part of the Deaf culture. Note: 1 session is apron 30 min or so.
