The Akasha (from which the word "Akashic Records" is derived) is the Endless Space, the Fifth Element, where all information from all timelines is stored. (It's sometimes portrayed as an Infinite Library with Infinite Books to help your mind understand and grasp it).
Akashic records also hold information about soul vows, contracts, ties/cords, and anything else that may be holding your back. In addition, healing can take place through the records as well.

Training & Qualifications
I took the Training in Akashic Records through Soul Mastery Akashic Records Reading with Satwinder Simone Isser. It was a 12-week course involving 35 practice readings with classmates plus 10 general paid readings outsides of class too. It was an incredible life-changing experience indeed!
