Weekly Planner Tasks Habits & Goals
25
I started creating my own planners years ago....but have updated what I am using to concentrate on tasks, habits and goals.
(You may have seen the burnout one I created for the 4th quarter....this has the same basic design, but here the goals section replaces the self care section.)
It incorporates ideas from bullet journalling, planning for your energy, habit tracking, 12 week year design, and more.
And it is geared towards being a task-based planner rather than an hourly based daily planner.
It is undated...it can run from Sunday thru Saturday or Monday thru Sunday (or you can update it to start any day you prefer.)
You can start anytime during the year, use it for 12-week year cycles, or just fill in the time until your fancy planner starts on Jan 1. (I have bought those fancy planners myself, too, in the past....they just didn't work for me.)
Having a weekly list of to-dos means no more copying tasks over to the next day when it isn't done on day 1 (or 2 or 3). And having it written down frees up your mind to relax a bit (hopefully.)
A smaller daily calendar allows for your top 3 tasks, a short list of appointments, meetings, etc., and 2 trackers that need more space than a simple check mark (such as glasses of water.)
A section for your annual/13-week goals keeps them front and center throughout the year.
A sizeable section for recurring tasks/chores and habits to track anything and everything that you want to do daily or weekly. And since it will be written down and tracked, you no longer have to wonder whether it was done, and when it was done last.
Energy tracking for your days (I personally include my AM, afternoon and evening levels), as well as assigning energy levels needed for each task/habit, allows taking the energy needed into account when planning, and determining what I can do when I have free time *and* energy. This is so important when you are exhausted and/or overwhelmed.
These two pages are printed so one week is seen on 2 facing pages when the planner is open. (I tend to have it folded and showing whichever side is more pertinent to me at the time.)
This is ready for you to print and use by entering your tasks manually. When you are ready, make a copy of the files to add your recurring tasks and habits, as well as update the task energy levels for those, so they are included when you print them. When you feel your list is well tested, print out a month's or a cycle's worth of pages.
I printed monthly calendar pages from a free online source...I can share that link if requested.
And you can add any other planner pages / trackers, etc., that you would like to personalize your planner.
Please note: if you would prefer that sections are removed to provide open space (doodling or other purposes) to make it easier to work with, I am willing to do that for you without extra simbi.
If you want me to remove *and replace* anything, that will need extra simbi for customization.
General specs:
2 MS Word files named Weekly left side and Weekly right side (Google Docs will also available when I create that version.)
They print as 8.5 x 11 pages (you can modify that if you use a smaller or larger planner size.)
They have shallow margins (.5" and .75") for loop or 3 ring binding.
Available add-ons: (in a separate simbi deal)
I will list other pages I have created as I add them to my own planner.
I will also offer resizing these pages if you do not know how to do that yourself.
And I am willing to create custom pages and custom sizes upon request.
What you will need:
Your choice of paper
A printer (or the ability to send/bring the file to your local stapes/office depot/kinko's, etc.)
Punch and binding for your choice of 3 ring binder, coil binding, coin binding or stapler (the size of binding will determine more/less pages)
Heavy cardstock or report cover if not using a 3-ring binder/planner binder
Training & Qualifications
I am a data analyst by trade (25+ years), and have vast experience with creating forms, reports, SAS, SQL and VBA programming and data crunching. I have also done a few years of administrative and bookkeeping work during and post college, creating reports, memorandums, real estate sales flyers, and much, much more.
I have utilized this knowledge to create my own customized planner and many extra forms and would love to share them with fellow simbiers. : )
Availability & Preferences
I work FT, and am usually able to send these within 24 hours. If you do not hear from me within 3 days, please send me a follow up message. (Customized planners will take extra time.)
