Ever wanted to know how to write or spell your name in Japanese?
WHAT I OFFER
Many people think that they have a special Kanji character for their name, and many tattoo parlors even have a (false) character list showing a letter with a corresponding Kanji. Sadly, that's not how Japanese works! Many people have ended up with incorrect tattoos, which can mean gibberish or even something insulting.
WHAT MAKES ME QUALIFIED?
I'm a native English speaker born and raised in America, and I have studied Japanese culture and Japanese language for more than 10 years. I've learned Japanese from several different sources: in a classroom setting from a native Japanese speakers, from various software including Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone, online language exchange with native Japanese via Skype and email, and even private 1-on-1 tutoring from a native speaker. I have a vocabulary of over 2,500 written words in Japanese, and I have passed the JLPT5 (the first level) language proficiency test covering reading/writing/listening/speaking, recognized by the Japanese government as the official language proficiency standard.
HOW WILL YOU KNOW I'M NOT WRONG OR MAKING IT UP?
Not only will I show you how your name is written in Japanese, I will also send you 3 different third-party resources that will back up my information. This will enable you to verify for yourself, so you can feel confident that you are being provided accurate information. Plus, this will allow you to quickly look up how to write other names in Japanese, so you can share with your friends or family and show them how to write their names in Japanese!

As an extra step, I'll include a pronunciation guide for your name, so you know how to write and say your name in Japanese.
Also, if your name coincidentally also "means" something in Japanese, I'll provide you with the Kanji translation. Please keep in mind that this is very rare, and usually only occurs when your name universally means something in other languages, such as the name "River" or "Sky". Basically, if your name "means" something in English and is a commonly used word, I will provide the Kanji translation for that as well.
