Bananacue

Bananacue is the most number 1 common food found everywhere in the Philippines. This is because it's easy to make (takes about 12minutes) and cheap! You can make them and sell them at schools and busy places. It is also very good and a healthy little snack.
When I visited the Philippines I didn't see very many Bananacues until I got to my orphanage and my social worker's son-in-law was cooking them. I asked him what he was doing and he said he makes these for the school cantina and sells them to the kids as a snack. It wasn't until he finished skewering the bananas that I recalled eating it. My memories of the Bananacue as an orphan was that I could not afford it because I did not have money. It was only kids with parents who bought these. Of course, my friend gave me one and I got to taste this awesome treat, fresh and warm!

Bananacue is another one of my favorite snack food after revisiting the Philippines I tend to enjoy this as a great snack but would go well at any party or gathering! As always I eat and make my homeland food as a remembrance of my life in an orphanage. As they say, don't forget where you come from.
