Looking for someone that already knows a bit about Adobe After Effects or someone to befriends and we can be accountability buddies on the topic. Trying to gain some new design skills and wanting to share the experience with another. Many times when I want to learn something, I get the response "watch [x] tutorial" or they give me "use this resource here" in attempts to be helpful. Don't know if they forget the journey of being a novice or what... but non-judgemental teachers able to pinpoint issues and provide metaphors HELP A LOT! Also they shorten amount of time it takes to learn material and keep peer motivated.
