The ukelele is an awesome little instrument that is easy to learn! The purpose of this lesson will be to give you the confidence to strike out your own, armed with a few techniques to help your practice sessions go a lot farther. Great for someone thinking about starting uke but unsure where/how to start, or even for kids!
This 30-minute ukelele lesson perfect for the absolute beginner (you don't even have to own a ukelele- I will bring a couple of mine, so you can try out the different kinds and see what you like!). We'll go over some basics about the instrument and things like rhythm and how chords work (aka, music theory, but don't get scared off!), and then learn a popular song of your choice. I'll bring a printout of the song for you to keep, along with a basic chord chart.
Now that the weather is nice, let's meet at a park in Asheville! Soon you, too, can be that person at the party with a ukelele!
