Mushroom Identification
10
I will identify a mushroom for you. My mushroom knowledge is specific to the Eastern US, with in depth knowledge of the Southeast. If you are outside the USA, my expertise is not applicable to your area.
I don't know every single mushroom, but I know a lot of them, including all the common edible species and common garden species. I will provide you with the scientific name, as well as the common name, if it has one, and basic information about it's edibility and/or concern for your garden/yard.
You must provide multiple up close and in focus photos showing 1) cap/top 2) where/how its growing 3) Gills/underside 4) complete dug up base 5) stem I realize that not all of these photos are always possible, but the more you can provide, the better the chance that I can ID it without seeing it in person.
All mushrooms are safe to touch! If you don't swallow it, it can't hurt you. Handling to get photos is harmless in 100% of cases.
