Reviewing Novel Manuscript
50
I’m looking for someone to do a final read-through of my completed manuscript and provide broad story feedback.
I’m not looking for line-by-line editing, grammar corrections, or detailed proofreading. I’ve already gone through the manuscript methodically for those things. What I’m hoping to find is a reader who can look at the story as a whole and let me know if they notice any discrepancies, continuity issues, unclear moments, pacing concerns, or places where the story flow could be improved.
I would especially appreciate feedback on whether the character arcs make sense, whether the emotional beats land properly, whether any parts feel rushed or too slow, and whether anything feels confusing or inconsistent from a reader’s perspective.
The book is a post-apocalyptic zombie story that follows a young girl who is discovered under strange and unsettling circumstances. It is atmospheric, character-driven, and focuses heavily on survival, trust, trauma, and the mystery surrounding her.
Content note: This story does not have a happy ending, so I’m looking for someone comfortable reading darker post-apocalyptic fiction with an emotionally heavy conclusion.
I’m mainly looking for honest, thoughtful reader feedback that can help me catch any final story-level issues before I consider the manuscript finished.
