OFFERING BASIC / BEGINNER WEST COAST SWING DANCE INSTRUCTION
About my experience:
I'm not a professional dance instructor (hence the Simbi offering; low-low Simbi amount; 30-60 minute session)! I'm just a West Coast Swing enthusiast.
I don't have the skills to teach a group class. I'm just offering a one-to-one (or two), informal introduction to West Coast Swing.
On request, I can also refer you to WCS dance venues, pro-instructors and schedules for group lessons.
I've been taking group lessons and dancing at least once a week for over 5 years.
WCS is a "lead/follow" dance and I can show you the basic steps for both a lead and a follow.
I've taken beginner classes from numerous instructors and I believe I can teach the beginner basics (including: 6 count steps; frame; connection; compression / tension; etc); sugar-push, sugar-tuck, left-side pass, right-side pass, starter-step, etc. Once you are comfortable with 6 count basics I can introduce you to 8 count patterns such as the whip.
I've assisted with group lessons and I've also taught individuals the basics.
I'm offering to teach you - or - you and a friend or partner.
I'm retired; an older guy in my 70s; 5' 10"; 140lbs.
I don't like to drive, so we would meet in a public place in the Northglenn or Old Thornton area.

Training & Qualifications
Just a West Coast Swing enthusiastic "believer".
I've been dancing 2-3 times a week for over 5 years.
I've also attended workshops and extended weekend events such as 5280 and Swing Time in the Rockies (aka: SwingTime).
Availability & Preferences
I'm retired so my schedule is fairly open (days, afternoons and evenings; 7 days a week). However, over time - with dancing till late - I've turned into a late riser. So, my current schedule of free time tends to be between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
I prefer meeting at a public place in the Thornton (Old-Thornton) and Northglenn area.
