I will listen and give advice on the topic you bring me. I will try to help you find new perspective on your situation and share with you what I know about healthy communication and possibly conflict resolution. My main goal is to help you find insight into your situation, whatever that may be, understand where you need to go to get the end result you want, and find the next step so that you can start moving forward in the direction that will take you there.
One session = approx. 1 hour, via phone or chat or possibly Skype, and how much is covered will be partly dependent on you - how many questions you have, how complicated the answer is/how in depth the answer has to be (whether I can say "assertive vs aggressive" and you understand that, or whether I have to explain the difference,) what you have done so far, your ability to stay focused on the subject vs random discussion, etc.
This is just a talk session - I may send you links to books or web pages that I think will help give you further information and guidance, and we can schedule more sessions if we both feel it went well and is helping, but I cannot be your "on-call" therapist, I cannot intervene on your behalf with other people, and I will not be going out to lunch or other social activities afterward- this is not a date any inappropriate comments or behavior will immediately end the service and you will be blocked from further trades with me.
Training & Qualifications
I am a survivor of abuse and unhealthy relationships, who's dedicated years to learning how to interact with people in a healthy, assertive way, avoiding passive and aggressive communication styles.
Availability & Preferences
I work Sunday through Thursday 2nd shift, but can sometimes use my lunch hour. I never plan anything before noon.
