Trifecta Spread
Created By: TOTD
The Trifecta Spread is my own creation. As you can see, it is a 3x3 layout.
Let's go through and discuss which each position represents.
Probably everyone is familiar with the basic timeline spread:
Past: Cards 1, 4 and 7
Present: Cards 2, 5, and 8
Future: Cards 3, 6 and 9
Most of you will have used the following inner trinity for a quick diagnostic as it shows what’s going on at three levels of experience:
Body: Cards 1, 4 and 7
Mind: Cards 2, 5, and 8
Spirit: Cards 3, 6 and 9
An interesting variation on this is:
Head – What does my Head want? ( 1, 2 and 3 )
Heart – What does my Heart want? ( 4, 5 and 6 )
Soul – What does my Soul want? ( 7, 8 and 9 )
There are many variations to this spread that are similar to your basic three card spreads except rather than using 1 card for each representation, we are using 3 cards for each section.
The Trifecta Spread can be read in 3 different ways.
The first way to read the cards is from the starting numbers 1, 2 and 3. This row will be the row you designate your starting point. May it be a past, mind, head or yes representation.
The next row of cards 4, 5 and 6 are then flipped to find out what the current situation is. It may not always represent current but could utilize other variations such as Body and Heart.
Lastly, tarot cards 7, 8 and 9 are flipped to evaluate the possibility of what might happen. Other various representations can be told such as spirit and soul.
Reading 3 cards for each representation has the ability to give the diviner a much clearer representation of the querent's quest for answers.
The 2nd way to read our Trifecta Spread is to flip the columns instead of the rows.
For example,
Cards 1, 4 and 7 would represent:
Past
Body
Head
Cards 2, 5 and 8 would represent:
Present
Mind
Heart
Cards 3, 6 and 7 would represent:
Future
Spirit
Soul
The 3rd way to read the Trifecta Spread is to read each card in an individual manner. We then read how each card interacts with each other card based on the position of each.
Card 1 has card 2 and 4 next to it.
Card 2 has card 1, 5 and 3 next to it.
Card 3 has card 2 and 6 next to t.
Card 4 has card 1, 5 and 7 next to it.
Card 5 has card 2, 6, 8 and and 4 next to it.
Card 6 has card 3, 5 and 9 next to it.
Card 7 has card 4 and 8 next to it.
Card 8 has card 7, 5 and 9 next to it.
Card 9 has card 8 and 6 next to it.
Depending on the type of card and whether or not it's flipped, each card will talk to other cards to suggest the querent's answers they're seeking.
Training & Qualifications
Throughout the many years of self teachings, the cognitive ability to read the cards for others came naturally. Providing insights to folks by giving them a different interpretation of something they may be trying to understand better has been a blessing to provide.
