Training & Qualifications
I am an A+ Certified computer technician in 2001 and again in 2015. I have a degree in Information Technology and have worked in IT since 2006. I've always been the guy my friends and family come to for computer help, as I love helping people, am a good listener, and I have NEVER EVER once been condescending with anyone I'm helping. Just because you are not aware of something that I may think is obvious doesn't mean you're stupid. In fact, I'm pretty sure if we kicked it around a bit, we could find quite a few things I am unaware of that you think are obvious :)
Anyway, I love helping people with computer related issues, as I've been immersed in the field for over 20 years and spend much of my off time on a computer as well, and keeping up to date with all the latest in technology for over a decade. I'm not limited to just computer support, I can help with smart phones, tablets, routers, downloading audio/video, virus problems, etc. Pretty much whatever you might ask your nerdy friend if he knows about :)
Except for Apple Macs. I've never owned one and have no clue how to operate one. I can help with an iPhone but not a Mac. But you guys have the 'Genius Bar' anyway; you don't need me. That service is sort of built in to the extra cost of buying a Mac, so definitely take advantage of it if you opted for a Mac.
Availability & Preferences
Evenings and weekends. I can do a phone or email consultation and/or I can remote in to your computer and have a look at whatever issue is troubling you and either fix it myself for you with you on the phone, or let you know exactly what you need to do to fix it.
