I will show you how to use a piece of leather and some paper to make a hand bound leather book. I will walk you through the materials you need to make a book, then I will show you how to measure and cut your leather and your paper, choose and prepare your thread, and then show you how to assemble and sew together your own leather bound journal type book. We will go through the planning process so that you can ensure a good looking finished piece at the end. I will also discuss different techniques as well as different ways to personalize and decorate your book.
Training & Qualifications
I have been making hand bound books for 17 years now. I have learned quite a few things in the process and love to make and create these beautiful pieces of art.
