Ask an American Muslim

Living in the United States as a Muslim, or follower of Islam is far from a popular choice, but I feel it is the correct one for me.

The media paints a very ugly and unrealistic picture of who Muslims are as a group, what our religious tenets are, and what practicing Islam really means. Even a few buzzwords have been used out of context.

There is no compulsion in religion, in any way. I welcome the civilized exchange of ideas, but will not entertain arguments or anti-islamic rhetoric. This is a respectful, peaceful space.

If you would like to educate yourself about Islam from the Muslim perspective, please contact me. I would love to answer your questions or clarify your misconceptions. I ask for serious inquires only. Unasked questions do not have answers. (I am not an Islamic scholar)
