Depending on things like complexity of the shoot and weather (if outdoors), expect to ultimately receive 5-10 photos per hour of shooting, all meticulously edited to bring out their best.
I don't have studio space or lighting equipment except for my trusty reflector. However, I am innovative and good at MacGyvering a lighting setup, especially if there are moveable lamps and/or windows around. And there's always the great outdoors -- the cloudy weather we've been having lately means favorable conditions for portraiture at any time of day.
Training & Qualifications
I'm just an amateur, but here are some of the things I've doneː
- Won first prize in a contest for young photographers hosted by the magazine L.A. Youth (2009)
- Received photojournalism training from LA Times photo editor Hal Wells; briefly worked as a photographer for UCLA's student newspaper in 2012. Learned so much from my colleagues when I was on that team, many of whom are now acclaimed professional photographers.
