AMA Ask a Jew / convert to Judaism
5
A surprising amount of people are very confused about what it means to be Jewish. I do tend to be on the more observant side regardless of the fact my conversion was Reform.
Most certainly, no one seems to know what it is like ot want to convert to the religion. If you are interested in Judaism and have questions, pretty much no matter what the questions are (provided they are not offensive) I am happy to do my best to help answer them. I can help you with some of the basic spirituality, comparing it with yours, answer some of your questions over why we do what we do. Really it is up to you and your own curiosity. I am also happy to discuss why I converted or whatever if that is your interest.
I have several times helped students with their projects for their religion courses when they needed someone to interview.
Training & Qualifications
I am Jewish. Specifically a convert to Judaism. I converted a number of years ago after a 16 year conversion process. I have also gone to yeshiva although I cannot say my Hebrew is ok because it is not.
Availability & Preferences
Most days to be honest. I use Simbi to fill in gaps, so if I have gaps, they are all yours.
