Advice: Qualifying A Mortgage
1
I will chat with you for up to 30 minutes and answer questions you've been having around how home financing actually works at a Canadian bank to help you plan/make sure you are where you need to be to make it happen!
I see common misconceptions and administrative mistakes every day at work that are easily avoided if you plan in advance (but you need to know, first!). Some of the most important conversations I've had are with people that just needed someone to tell them how the heck it works, so they can be ready within 2 ish years. It's more fun (for me) when the vibe is casual. :)
I'd love to help you avoid the common mistakes, or at least get some clarity on what to do to be positioned well to proceed with financing at the institution of your choice. I am versed in the policy/regulations of one main institution but the principles are similar across the board, for the big banks.
I believe financial education improves both individual lives and society as a whole at the same time.
This is for you if:
- The property you want to buy is in Canada, zoned residential, and has no more than 6 units.
Training & Qualifications
I have worked in finance since 2017, with a large company, specializing in home equity finance since 2019, on a high volume team. Pior to that I was doing broad/general financial review and learning about basic credit principles. I have now owned several homes and love helping people avoid my past mistakes.
