Ballroom/social dance advice

Nervous about going social dancing? Want to get into the social dancing/ballroom scene but don't know where to start?
I'll answer any questions you have, and give you advice depending on where your skill level is at on:
-Clothes: helpful suggestions to keep from overheating or having fashion mishaps.
-Dance styles: Where to start, differences between them, etc.
-Classes: Where to start, where to find them, etc.
Training & Qualifications
I have learned lead and follow for: west coast swing, east coast swing, waltz, tango, rumba, salsa, nightclub 2-step, and probably a few more. I'm a little rusty, but I studied those dances for several years, and was pretty active in the Portland dance scene for a while.
I also have training in belly dancing and hip hop.
