Greetings! I run a small letterpress studio in Kenton / N. Portland, and could use some general studio help with things like cutting down paper, washing some windows, sorting samples, etc. No heavy lifting or anything that would get you too dirty, but an ability to stand for up to 30min or so at a time would be required.
Blocks of time, 2-4 hours, would work best. It would be awesome if you'd like to come for a couple sessions if you have the time, maybe the same couple hours the same day every week for a few weeks? My usual hours in the studio are 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, so it would need to be during these times. Because there is machinery here, it's not suitable for children or babies to be here while you are helping, sorry!
I cannot pay in cash for this help, but will happily trade Simbi, or if you would like to at some point print a small project we could talk about that too. If you are interested in learning letterpress, that is something else we could trade.
These would not be highly skilled tasks, but you would need to sign a legal release form for being in the space.
