30 minute peer-mentoring for ADHD
25
I would be happy to do any of the following:
1. We can discuss what you're looking to improve and I will offer tailored advice. I will suggest evidence-based strategies as well as things that have worked for me personally.
2. I can provide extensive information about the neurobiology of ADHD and how ADHD affects people.
3. I can discuss ADHD medications, both in terms of their mechanism of action and what you can expect when you take them.
4. I can guide you through the process of finding a professional coach or therapist who specializes in ADHD.
5. I can provide suggestions about how to effectively communicate about ADHD with people at your job or school.
6. I can offer a sympathetic, understanding ear about all things ADHD-related.
My knowledge and experience would be most helpful to young adults and adults, rather than small children.
Training & Qualifications
This is peer mentoring, so I am not a professional counselor. I am a hard-working PhD student and I have ADHD myself.
I've spent years learning everything I could about ADHD and the strategies used to treat it. My background in neuroscience and genetics has facilitated understanding of how ADHD works. Additionally, my tenacious attempts to treat my own ADHD have led me to many successful strategies I would be excited to share.
Availability & Preferences
I'm in grad school, so I'm pretty busy but my schedule is flexible. Evenings, mornings, or weekends are best.
