Hi, my name is Elias. I am a writer at heart and a cook by trade; I enjoy making great food and I love a good story.

I find that to read excellent writing is good for the heart, and I think that grammatical errors distract us from the wonder of a fine story, the strength of a pointed essay or the beauty of a heartfelt poem.

I especially like spoken word poetry, but I think writing in general is a good way to make use of one's time, or celebrate beauty therewith.

Beside writing and cooking and being a friend to a few cool guys, I guess I get pretty excited about online gaming. I play too much League of Legends, and like being online for more time per day than what some might say is actually reasonable.

I am not athletic, but I find myself leading a more active lifestyle here in Portland than the one for which I had initially hoped. I am not highly social, but I find myself at shows and events more often than past-me would have expected. I am not an astonishingly happy person, but these days (and quite often) I find myself smiling, laughing, or just generally having a good time.

Who knows? Maybe Portland will be good for me. Maybe simbi will too. Maybe I can even help someone else enjoy life a little more. That'd be nice.
