I've always been fascinated by Japan and have read a book on samurai and taken an eastern-history class, but unfortunately my knowledge is more cursory, and I want to learn more. I feel like understanding Shinto would be understanding what gels and shapes Japanese society. Feudal Nihon is really the bag I'm looking for.
