Laptop Screen Fix?

Someone to fix my computer screen. The screen pixels are all dead(at least I think) and while the laptop still works, it makes it hard to see everything on the screen, and I'm worried it's only getting worse.
It is a Lenovo Laptop, few years old, and since I don't know computer talk, I don't know much more than that. I worry this may involve completely replacing the screen, and I'm pretty sure it's more of a tinkering job that a tech fix. I have No money, no car, but am willing to meet somewhere a bus can go.
