30-Min. Writing Development Consult

In a 30-minute Skype conversation, I will listen to your ideas for a written genre (academic paper, essay, novel, screenplay, poetry, etc.) and give you feedback about how to develop them.
This session will involve verbally sharing ideas. If you'd like me to read and provide feedback on a written document, check out one of my other services.
If you would like to discuss fiction, my specialties are plot structure and historical accuracy. I can also give you tips about characterization, pacing, logic, theme, and avoiding cliches. If I don't have expertise on a particular subject, I can recommend resources for you to consult.
If you would like to discuss nonfiction, I can help you refine your thesis and outline your argument. Again, if I don't have expertise on a particular subject, I can recommend resources for you to consult. For more in-depth help once the paper is written, check out one of my other services.
Training & Qualifications
I have been writing my own novels and screenplays since 2001. I studied English and editing at Brigham Young University, graduated cum laude in 2011, and have worked in editing and publishing since graduating. I also belong to a writers' group that shares ideas among and provides feedback to its members.
