It is what it is. It needs a battery, worked last time it was used. did not test. We'll work something out if it doesn't work for you. I'm sure it will, it was used like 4 times on hikes. The pedometer itself runs off of a CR2032 (super common - available at drugstores). For fm radio: needs cr2016 x2 and cr1130 x1 i think the cr2016's run the "panic alarm" may be unnecessary if you run in a safe area... Has books. In used condition but worked well when it was in use.
