About Amabel Murillo
Amabel G. Murillo is the Founder, Facilitator, and Managing Director of Murillo Mediation. She is a first generation graduate of the University of North Texas, with a Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation studies. Her Minor focuses are in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Substance Abuse Treatment. Murillo is primarily focused in Community Development.
Amabel has interned at Dispute Resolution Services of North Texas, Inc. located in Fort Worth, Central - Dallas Public Library - Homeless Initiative as a full-time volunteer. She works part time with Geriatrics as a PCA/NA where she studies the aging process and is constantly learning. She has experience with volunteering for non-profit facilities that assist individuals with special needs, grief & loss, community, and family development.
Murillo has been a facilitator for years. She is a resilient individual with excellent skills in reasoning: transcendent, metaphorical, philosophical, and lyrical, organized rhetoric, commitment, discipline, as well as, tactical and reasonable problem solving. She is committed at assisting individuals in every process within her respective professions.
Murillo is a PUSH (Preserve Until Success Happens) Alumni, advocate, once a foster youth, and a public speaker for children in the system. She was a Key Speaker at The National CASA Conference. Her inclusive direction has allowed her to overcome overwhelming circumstances throughout life, and gives way for hope to lift others up seeking direction and a sense of peace. She is also passionate about the art of writing.
